This Admiral Benbow used to stand proudly on Bardstown Road (a.k.a. U.S. Route 31E and U.S. Route 150). It is now a very run-down looking Travelodge. The esteemed Mr. Khatam (timetravelnow) might be wrong about the identified era as I remember a different sign out front with a more detailed rendering of the admiral from my time living in Louisville from 1969 to 1972…so, this could possibly be from the 1970s instead of the 60s.
